Walking, Approximately 2km. On leaving airport turn left and follow signs
for Prestwick town. Continue through two sets of traffic lights. Appletree is
300M through the second set of traffic lights on left hand side.
Taxi, A taxi from Prestwick airport is approximately £4.
Travel to the appletree from Prestwick railway station.
Walking, Approximately 1.2km. On leaving train station head up Station
Road towards traffic light and turn right heading though the main shopping
centre for Ayr. Appletree B and B is approximately 1000M ahead on the left hand
side.
Taxi, A taxi from railway station is approximately £4.
Travel to the appletree from Glasgow.
Bus, A regular bus service is provided by service number X77 departing from
Glasgow Buchanan bus station. The bus departs every 30 minutes, see stagecoach
link in useful links section of website for details of timetables. Ask for a
ticket to Prestwick (Kingcase Garage). A single ticket costs approximately £5.
The X77 is a limited stop service and Kingcase Garage is the first stop after
Prestwick town centre. On leaving the bus walk back towards Prestwick and the
appletree is 200M on your right hand side.
Train, A regular train service is available from Glasgow Central or Paisley
train station to Ayr and departs every 30 minutes. Ask for a ticket to
Prestwick Town, a single ticket costs approximately £6, see train information
link in useful links section of website for details of timetables. On leaving
train station head up Station Road towards traffic light and turn right heading
though the main shopping centre for Ayr. Appletree B and B is approximately 1km
ahead on the left hand side.
Taxi, The approximate costs of a taxi from Glasgow airport or Glasgow town
centre is approximately £55. A taxi from Prestwick airport or railway station
is £4.
Car,
Leave Glasgow City centre on the M8 motorway heading west towards Greenock. As
you leave Glasgow you will cross a large river (Clyde) on the Kingston Bridge,
after crossing the bridge follow signs for the A77 to Kilmarnock Ayr and
Prestwick Airport.
OR
Leave Glasgow Airport and head east towards Glasgow City centre, after approx
5KM/8M follow signs for M77 Kilmarnock, Ayr and Prestwick Airport.
Continue on the A77 for approximately 40KM/25M and follow signs for
Prestwick Airport. Continue past the airport and turn right at the next
roundabout on to Monkton Road following the signs for Prestwick Town. At the
first traffic light continue straight through on to Main Street. This will take
you through the town centre. At the next set of lights continue straight through
on to Ayr Road and the appletree is about 300M on your left hand side.
